Incodia, the UK’s largest supplier of gift, loyalty and membership cards, and provider of FMCG packaging, has achieved G7 Master Certification® – a global standard widely used to measure colour accuracy on any output device.

Achieving colour consistency across different print formats and materials is an industry-wide challenge and, if successful, can give companies a significant competitive advantage.

The Essex and Lancashire based company is one of only two UK print service providers with G7 Master Certification®, demonstrating its status as a proven quality leader in printing.

G7® is Idealliance’s universal calibration methodology for achieving grey balance and visual similarity across all print processes. The application of this method enables printers to reproduce a similar visual appearance, regardless of printing type and substrate.

Idealliance is the leading developer of specifications and certifications in the graphic communications industry. A global association of brands, printers and technology companies, it is dedicated to guiding print production best practices, specifications and standards worldwide.

Already an efficient print provider, Incodia looked to the Idealliance G7® Master programme to achieve further productivity gains to better serve its customers’ objectives for brand colour quality and control.

“Quality and repeatability are important to our customers. G7® qualification provides third-party verification that Incodia delivers exceptional colour matching and consistency. Our commitment to the G7® method is just one example of how we’re maximising our performance to the benefit of our customers.” says Allan Lock, Chief Executive Officer of Incodia.

The announcement follows Incodia’s recent investments in 8-colour printing technology, die cutters and other equipment to expand their printing capabilities.

“We applaud Incodia for utilising the G7® Master programme to assure consistency and quality in their proofing, brand colour management and print processes. G7® Master Colorspace qualification demonstrates a level of control and expertise which places Incodia at the top of their field” says Alan Lawlor, Managing Director at Idealliance-Europe.

Incodia produce over 250 million cards a year and over 200 million printed items for some of the biggest brands, retailers and membership organisations. They are also growing their focus on providing FMCG packaging.
