The July heatwave has boosted supermarket sales!
As shared by an article in Grocery Gazette, new figures from Barclaycard reveal supermarket spending grew 7.7% in July compared to the same period in 2021.
The average value of a supermarket transaction has dropped from £23.67 in January 2021 to £19.33 in July 2022 – indicating a trend towards more frequent grocery trips with less spend per visit.
